I think I've had it since I was 15, could almost count as vintage. Not really, I know I know. First time I used it - about time I did! These pics are kind of shitty but oh well, night time = no good light. Since summer's definitely over for my part right now (my heart fills with sadness...) I thought I'd post a summer ensemble to remind myself that there once was sunlight and friendly temperatures. Yes, I'm being dramatic but that's what winter does to me! Should one have to shield oneself from rain that's attacking you horizontally? No! Should the sun forget about us and hide behind its cottonshaped friends? No! Bohoo! Now to my trousers, love the print and the colours. Really loving this shape right now but will probably need to invest in a pair that's more winter-y.

Realised that I haven't mentioned Jamie! Well, during my lovely weekend sometime ago I also had the pleasure to see Jamie Woon live, woop! It was a special weekend indeed... The fangirls were hilarious though. I was determined to be in the front which naturally means screaming girls, at least some. The one behind kept screaming "Jamie I love u!" at the most awkward moments, lol. Jamie seemed kind of shy even on stage, which made it all even more charming, oh, and the voice - *sigh*. Can't wait to see him live again.

First of all, I'd like to excuse myself for the butt pictures but what I'm really focusing on are the shorts... Bought them right before summer. Saw the colours at the back of the shorts, tried them on quickly, confirmed that they made my butt look a tad bit "balloon-y", listened to my friend's opinion and bought them. I was contemplating wether to get these shoes in black, brown or flower patterned ones. As one can see I went for the flower ones. On a fun note, I asked my friend to get them for me and sent her a link asking her which colour she prefered. I'd already made up my mind before I read her reply and told her which ones I wanted. I read her reply afterwards and it said something like: " I think the brown or the black becasue the flower ones look shitty-tacky" - LOL! So is that my taste summed up in two words?

When my sister and I were kids my dad sometimes used to buy us new Swatch watches. I had one that I loved, purple and yellow with an elephant on the hourplate. However, there were some that I didn't like as much and they ended up in one of my fully packed drawers... Not so long ago I rediscovered some of the watches in my old room and I was kind of drawn to this one. I think it might mainly be because of Fido Dido random face but also because of the 90's colours! I have realised that I haven't worn watches for years. I keep looking like a fool when people ask me about the time and I keep answering "I don't know" while waving my watch-adorned wrist around...

It's been a while since I used to wear trainers as everyday shoes but for some time now I've been craving the classical Reebok's, most preferably a pair which include the above colours. I used to be nuts about trainers and I'd pay a lot for them too. Fila, Nike, Adidas, Puma - yeah, all of'em! I haven't even worn plimsoles for years and those used to be my standard shoes. Specifically love the above ones but I have a feeling I won't be able to find them in the local sport shops...

My best friend got married during the weekend so I went to Stockholm for a few days. The wedding was loads of fun and my friend looked stunning! Unfortunately my dear b-friend accidentally erased all the pictures on my camera half-way through celebrations... I tried taking more pictures but don't really have any good ones. Will have to hunt down photos from my friends instead.

While the wedding was lovely the weather was less enjoyable. It's supposed to be warm in August even if you're in Sweden! My first time wearing tights in months. So now I've got a lovely cold... Well, I probably shouldn't complain since I did have a great weekend.

Found this romper in a vintage shop in May and although I really like it I've only used it once. So the other day I set myself on yellow romper mood and used my b-friend's bike as an accessory. As long as I'm not on the bike it's all good. I tried getting on it the other day but since I can't even reach the peddles I thought: " No, I do not want to end up looking like a Big Bird-mess lying flat-faced on the curb...". And even though everyone's emphasising the arrival of autumn I just don't feel like walking around in a jacket and boots when it's 30 degrees (celsius) outside. No summer, I'm not done with you yet.

Since frying in the sun isn't really my sense of fun I decided to join my friend and b-friend when they decided to go jump off a cliff, into the water that is... Before my sister came to visit me I asked her to buy that long H&M dress that I've been seeing everywhere except from in my nearest H&M shops. I just realised that I'm wearing all H&M in these pictures except from the sunglasses that is. Good ol' Hennes! I remember when I started shopping there with my best friends. We were 11 and one of my first purchases were these military-style, beige, baggy trousers, my friend bought a pair too. We'd wear them low with our boxers showing and with tight tops with dragon prints on them. Then there were the arm rings, the Fila shoes, the sweat bands.., yeah details seem to have been a very important element even back then. Gosh, how I miss those days! For my Easter break I left the mainland for some island life. I took some pictures but forgot my camera cord so I'll just upload little by little. Jonathan, Mark and I went for a car ride along the coast and stopped at one of the rocky beaches, beautiful! My first beach visit of the year did not include any swimming though. Unlike the Germans a bit of sunshine won't make me walk around in flip-flops or torture my body with ice cold water, no that will have to wait...

I found this old picture on the computer today. It's funny how short I look, not that I'm very tall at all in real life but the proportions just look kind of wrong... Anyway what I really wanted to comment on is the blue scarf. My b-friend bought it for me a long time ago when we were in Morocco and I love it. However, I sadly discovered that it shouldn't be washed... The colour started coming off and made my hands look like smurf hands. Very sad because I adore the rich colour. Don't want to throw it away though so now the scarf lives in a bag in my closet, poor thing.

Weekend in March

I spent my weekend with these lovlies, shopping, having hot chocolate, eating paella, watching Leonardo Di Caprio's latest film "Shutter Island" (great actually), oh and a visit to a museum where I managed to take a few pictures. Great weekend indeed.

A friend of mine made some beautiful artwork for an exhibition some time ago which included gorgeous screenprints of Michael. I decided to buy this one which I adore! Love the yellow light surrounding Michael's head. Anyway it's been on show for a while but I'm so happy to finally have it at home (well at one of my homes, kind of...). It's made of glass and therefore it was a bit tricky to take a picture without any reflection.

Something new

Decided to go hunting for some pretty things (clothes-wise) and darn was I disappointed! Couldn't find anything I liked, well perhaps I would've if I had tons of money but unfortunatley that is NOT the case. One more reason to why I should learn how to sew properly... The picture quality is quite bad but thought I'd show the one single thing that did come home with me, i.e. the flowery tights.

Cupcake, cherry coke and Big Red

Simple things that make you appreciate a simple day more: colourful pretty cupcakes with sweets on them! And although I don't like Coke that much I must say that cherries make everything better. I've heard that Big Red is what my darling Michael chews so I was pretty happy when I randomly found some here, never seen it before. Peculiar flavour, kind of like cinnamon mixed with chilli but we like peculiar things don't we?!

Went dancing on Saturday while wearing my old turqouise dress. Been quite a while since the last time I wore it. It has small blood stains (mine not someone else's) on the sleeves that won't wash away but oh well, probably gives it more character anyway... By the way as you can see I finally found some white tights! Been looking for a pair for ages so I'm very delighted about that.

Had a lovely Saturday: nice sunny day with one of my favourite people. The day began with a nice breakfast consisting of scones with clotted cream and jam plus tea and hot chocolate, yum! Next, we started making our way towards Reina Sofia to look at some pretty things suchs as the amazing ballet costumes below or Picasso's "Guernica (impressive!)".

I'm easily impressed sometimes, no art needed just a big empty space...

Because of his genius I thought I'd at least dedicate this post to this amazing man. The music, the dance, the style (I heart!), the sexiness - pure MAGIC! We should all cherish gifts like Prince for their contributions to culture and the sharing of their amazing talents. The concept of music just isn't the same anymore, that beautiful magic that was will never come back to us... A lot of love to you Prince.

Never one to refrain from experimenting ;) Shy? Probably does not exist in his vocabulary! But seriously, still looking hot!

I bought this dress I while back but I've only worn it once. So I thought I'd just show it. I love the collar and the colours. My b-friend thinks it's a bit granny-ish but I like it and so does Dani and that's enough for me. The pictures are quite blurry which is quite annoying...

Oh, I also love my

blue nailvarnish! I must say that my hands look kind of granny-ish though...

Childhood

What would my life be without dear memories of cycling adventures, football tournaments, lovely birthdays, my sister's dancing and singing in swimming pools, silly nicknames (such as Bear Paw or Apu), sleepovers with the girls and so much more? I can't imagine it. I miss those days.

Michael, I never ever questioned your fondness of childish things, some people like cars and some like rollercoasters :) but not until now can I say that I truly understand the true concept of Peter Pan. As the years go by faster and faster I long for the time that was. Times of carefree fun with my friends, times of listening and dancing to your magic, in my friend's room, in the kitchen with my sister, on MTV (when it was still about music and not rubbish). Beautiful Michael, I truly understand now.
